Locum Specialist in Neurology

Westcoast Animal Veterinary Emergency Specialty Hospital (WAVES) is seeking a Locum Specialist in Neurology to join our Victoria, British Columbia hospital. We are seeking an individual who is team-oriented and has excellent communication skills with colleagues, clients, and the referral community.

The position:

• Typically, our Neurology service operates four 9-hour days per week. However, adjustments to the schedule, such as extending the number of days with shorter hours, can be discussed to suit individual needs.
• The service involves a mix of consultations, procedures (including neurosurgery, CSF taps), and diagnostic imaging. Available on-site imaging modalities include X-ray, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, MRI, and CT.
• The team consists of 2 skilled technicians and 2 animal care assistants per day who collaborate with the neurologist to facilitate appointments, perform procedures, and carry out diagnostics.
