As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing members of the accounting team. We’re looking for a highly motivated self-starter with a keen interest in making processes more efficient and scalable while ensuring the highest level of quality. Since our business environment is always changing, a willingness to learn and the ability to adapt are essential.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm EST. This is a remote role.

As the Accounting Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing members of the accounting team. Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5pm EST. This is a remote role.
What You Will Do
- Oversee, day-to-day, the team's activities related to seller accounts payable and buyer accounts receivable to ensure that all transactions are recorded accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure the team adheres to all accounting controls and consistently aligns with the Finance Policies and Procedures.
- Act as the main point of contact for questions related to seller accounts payable and buyer accounts receivable.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries. Troubleshoot and resolve escalated issues.
- Research discrepancies of financial information and/or documentation.
- Participate in a wide variety of ad-hoc reporting, special projects, and analysis as necessary in our constantly evolving company.
- Provide employee training, monitor employee performance, and identify areas for improvement.
- Update training materials and departmental procedures as needed.
- Cover team absences when needed.
- Oversee and approve Journal Entries that the team posts. Back up and post Journal Entries as needed.
- Assist with month-end procedures.
- Assist Accounting Manager as required.
- Post-Secondary education in accounting/finance or combination of education and experience.
- At least 3 years’ supervisory experience.
- Strong leadership and team management experience.
- Strong knowledge of financial accounting and reporting principles.
- Demonstrated high level of initiative and self-direction, flexibility, and ability to adapt to change.
- Strong critical thinking and analytical problem-solving skills.
- High attention to detail and accuracy.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Experience in MS Office Suite, with proven advanced-level skills in Excel spreadsheets.
- Proficiency in NetSuite is an asset.
- French language is an asset.
