Overview:
PLASP Child Care Services is a charitable organization operating on a not-for-profit basis, providing high quality early learning and child care, for children up to 12 years of age. PLASP operates in more than 240 schools providing before school, lunch, and after school programs and 30 full-day early learning and child care centres and six EarlyON locations for children from 0 – 6 years.

Responsibilities:
- Assist in establishing and maintaining a safe, warm, and caring environment for a high quality child care program.
- Visit programs and work with children and staff where children require support to be integrated into the program.
- Work with children on an individual basis, assisting them in managing their behavior and promoting their self-esteem while gaining acceptance of their peers.
- Attend meetings and training sessions during the day.
Qualifications:
- Diploma in Early Childhood Education, Child and Youth, Developmental Support, Educational Assistant, Recreation and Leisure and/or training in psychology with experience working with children with differing abilities or diagnosis.
- Excellent written and verbal English Skills.
- Proven leadership abilities.
- Excellent organizational and administrative skills.
- Supervisory experience an asset.
- Well-developed problem solving skills.
- Flexible and energetic approach to work.
- Positive and sensitive attitude towards children and staff.
- Physically able to participate with children in the gym, outdoors and provide personal care as required.
- Valid Standard First Aid, with level C CPR.
- Vulnerable Sector Criminal Reference Check, dated within the last six months.
- Up to date immunization records.
- Basic ability to use technology (including smart phones, computers, tablets).
