Job Description

We are currently recruiting for a passionate, dedicated and hardworking individual to fill our part-time Sales Associate position.

Duties

The role of a Sales Associate is to provide sales support to the territory Sales Representative and ensure store level merchandising excellence in order to expand sales of Arterra Wines Canada premium wine portfolio from both a volume and market share perspective. Daily duties include, but are not limited to:

• Build and merchandise impactful product displays, features, and racks in retail accounts
• Work with store partners to ensure proper rotation of back stock to retail floor, displays and shelf
• Ensure monthly sales are passed on by retailers and tagged at shelf and display
• Apply shelf talkers, necktags and related value-added items to inventory at shelf and on display
• Close distribution gaps by working with Key Decision Makers at store level to list new products.
• Apply, maintain and replace impactful branded point of sale materials in partner stores. This includes backer cards, shelf talkers, case cards, posters, price cards, fridge clings etc.
• Ensure Arterra products are appropriately shelved, and maintain this positioning on an ongoing basis
• Maintain overall product and display appearance: dust-free, correctly priced on shelf and in cooler.
• Take photos of displays, competitor’s displays, competitors on packs, new products etc.
• Maintain consistent communication with the sales representative regarding changes in buyer preferences, out of stock inventory concerns/situations encountered, market intelligence and daily call summary
• Complete other special projects as required, including but not limited to trade events, trade shows, consumer tastings, seminars, maintenance of storage unit, staff training and store set ups.
  
  

Job Requirements

• Beverage Alcohol Industry experience and product knowledge an asset.
• WSET or ISG Certification an asset.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.
• Results oriented, self-motivated, driven and disciplined.
• The ability to work independently with minimal supervision
• Proof of valid Driver’s License will be required.
• Provide your own vehicle with the proper insurance and driving record within DMV policy guidelines
• Must reside within, or in close proximity to the general area of the sales territory.
• Must be able to lift cases weighing up to 45 pounds on an ongoing, daily basis
