The Business Enablement Manager will be a key driver of successful communications across Bayshore Homecare Solutions, collaborating closely with both the Leadership and Transformation teams. In this pivotal role will partner with cross-functional teams and employees to foster a culture of continuous improvement. The role executes compelling communication strategies that inspire employee action and enhance productivity. They will translate complex initiatives into clear, concise messages that resonate with stakeholders at all levels, ensuring they are informed, empowered, and actively participate in the change journey. This role demands a highly motivated and results-oriented individual who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and excels at navigating competing priorities.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

  • Strategic Communication and Counsel: Ensuring Branch employees understand and align with the BHCS projects’ vision, mission, and strategy.
  • Content Creation & Delivery: Simplifying complex information into clear, engaging, and actionable content.
  • Change Management and Communication: Clear communication of change initiatives to mitigate resistance.
  • Communication Strategy Measurement and Improvement: Breaking down communication silos between NSC AND Government Branches to foster collaboration and knowledge sharing.
  • Channel Management & Innovation: Addressing misinformation, managing client relations crises, and maintaining a positive brand image.

Messaging and Content Decisions

  • Key Messages: Deciding what information to emphasize in campaigns, announcements, or internal communications.
  • Tone and Voice: Determining the tone of communication (e.g., formal, conversational, motivational) to suit the target audience and context.
  • Approval Workflow: Deciding which content requires leadership review versus what can be autonomously disseminated.

Communication

Strategic Planning Decisions:

  • Defining Communication Goals: Deciding what the communication strategy should achieve (e.g., building awareness, fostering engagement, or managing crises).
  • Prioritizing Audiences: Determining which stakeholder groups (e.g., SLT, Branch employees, Field staff, clients) to target for specific messaging efforts.
  • Channel Selection: Choosing the most effective communication channels for delivering messages (e.g., email, SharePoint, newsletter, or in-person meetings).

Internal

SLT & BHCS Leadership:

  • Strategic Alignment: Ensure communication strategies support the company's mission, vision, and strategic objectives.
  • Reporting: Provide updates on initiatives and their impact on organizational goals.

Area Directors and Branch Employees/Field staff:

  • Branch Coordination: Tailor communication strategies to address Branch needs and nuances.
  • Implementation Support: Assist in executing communication initiatives at the Branch level.
  • Project Updates: Disseminate information regarding projects and change initiatives.
  • Employee Engagement: Foster a sense of community and shared purpose among caregivers.
  • Change Communication: Ensure clear communication during transitions, such as operational or technological changes or organizational restructuring.

Work Location: Bayshore Healthcare, Mississauga, Ontario (Hybrid)

Job Qualification

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, English, or related field; a Master's degree in Communication or Organizational Development is a strong asset.
  • Experience: A minimum of 7 years of proven experience in Corporate Communications, Internal Communications, or related fields; proven experience leading communication on large-scale transformations or change initiatives; experience in the healthcare/homecare industry is preferred but not required.
  • Other Notable Skills:
    • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and communication tools.
    • Experience with internal communication platforms (e.g., SharePoint, intranet systems).
    • Familiarity with collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Teams).
    • Proficiency in graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) for creating visual assets.
    • Experience with video creation and editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere or similar tools).
