Looking for Mechanical Equipment Assemblers for a contract-to-hire position with our client who is a leader in the Water and Wastewater systems industry. As an assembler, you will perform a variety of tasks including mechanical assembly, working from a Bill of Material, picking material from stock, and testing assemblies. All this work is done according to instructions provided in the form of drawings and QOI's.

Description

  • Hands-on worker with experience in mechanical or electrical assembly, preferably from a construction, automotive (working under the hood), or skilled trades background.
  • Ability to read basic wiring diagrams and work with tools to drill, mount brackets, and assemble components.
  • High school diploma or higher; vocational/technical training is a plus.
  • Reliable and adaptable to working across different areas on the production floor.
  • Candidates should have a broader electrical or mechanical assembly experience.
  • Ideal background in automotive repair, civil construction, or mechanical shop experience.

Profile

  • 1-3 years of experience in mechanical/electrical assembly in a heavy equipment manufacturing environment.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, Bills of Material (BOM), and quality documentation.
  • Proficiency in using hand tools, calibrated instruments, and troubleshooting basic electrical/mechanical issues.
  • Must be able to follow detailed instructions and work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Work involves moving between different areas on the floor rather than stationary bench work.
  • Strong contract workers will be turned into permanent employees.
  • Starting pay is $21/hr.
  • Steel-toe boots are required.

Shifts

  • Day Shift: 6:45 AM - 3:00 PM (Monday - Friday) with optional Saturday OT.
  • Afternoon Shift: 2:30 PM - 1:00 AM (Monday - Thursday); higher experience required.
