Job Overview

We are recruiting Industrial Scaffolders to join our team for upcoming projects in Fort McMurray, Alberta. As an Industrial Scaffolder, you will be responsible for erecting, modifying, and dismantling scaffolding systems in compliance with blueprints, safety guidelines, and industry standards. You will work in various industrial environments.

Responsibilities

  • Commitment to workplace safety and ethical work practices
  • Work with, lead and motivate workers under their supervision and that they work around.
  • Organize self and crew to meet expectations in a safe, professional, and timely manner.
  • Maintain a strong safety presence and follow SRGs Safety Management Program
  • Erect, modify, and dismantle scaffolding systems following blueprints and safety guidelines.
  • Inspect scaffolding for stability and compliance with safety regulations.
  • Work in various weather conditions and industrial environments.
  • Follow occupational health and safety standards, including fall protection protocols.
  • Collaborate with other trades to facilitate safe and efficient project completion.
  • Maintain all tools, work area and equipment in a clean and orderly fashion.
  • Read and interpret client and company supplied construction fabrication drawings and specifications.
  • Follow SRG and Client policies & procedures.

Requirements

  • Must possess construction and industrial scaffolding experience.
  • Overhead crane and rigging considered an asset
  • Must be a Certified Journeyperson or registered apprentice.
  • Must be able to take initiative, work independently as well as in a team.
  • Must be reliable and dependable (i.e.: punctual and ready to work).
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • A demonstrated ability to work safely.
  • Must be fit-for-duty.
  • Must be immediately eligible/able to work in Canada.
  • Must be able to provide clean Canadian criminal record check (within 30 days of hire)
  • Physically capable of performing all necessary duties of the job, including but not limited to heavy pulling, pushing and lifting (up to 50 lbs), climbing, shoveling, bending, twisting, etc.
  • Must pass pre-employment alcohol and drug test including cannabis
