1.0 EFT Fee for Service Position
Work Location: On site – Brandon Regional Health Centre located at 150 McTavish Ave East, Brandon, MB R7A 2B3. There is no option to work remotely.
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.
Anticipated Shift: Full Time, Days, Early Mornings, Mornings, Evenings, Nights, On Call, Weekends
Daily Hours Worked: Various hour shifts (30 to 40 hours per week).
Position Type: Fee for service
Wage Rate: Compensation is fee-for-service as per the Doctors Manitoba and Manitoba Health a Manitoba Health, Seniors and Active Living negotiated rates. Benefits are not provided, but may be purchased if the successful candidate so desired.
Position Summary:
As the second largest city in Manitoba, with a population of 55,000 and growing, Brandon is the main hub and referral site for southwestern Manitoba, with a catchment area of approximately 200,000 people. Brandon Regional Health Centre is a fully accredited multi-specialty facility with 300+ bed capacity and are currently undergoing a $110 million-dollar expansion of our inpatient care facilities, expected to be completed by 2026.
Our onsite Diagnostic Services include radiology, ultrasound, CT, and MRI as well as Nuclear medicine support. The Radiology group provides services to a large geographic catchment area and to a wide range of specialist services including Pediatrics, Obs/Gyne, General and Orthopedic Surgery, Nephrology, Psychiatry General Internal Medicine and Cardiology. There is also an 11-bed NICU is in the process of expanding. We also provide 24/7 hospitalist services as well as 24/7 internal medicine services and 24/7 Obstetrical-Gynecology Services. We have a full-service Emergency Department with a full complement of ER physicians 24/7. The successful applicant must be able to work within an interdisciplinary team and function well in a high-volume environment with a commitment to provide high quality patient care.
Brandon Regional Health Centre is a satellite campus for the University of Manitoba and the Rady Faculty of Medicine, and offers the opportunity to contribute to the teaching/mentoring of medical learners.
Prairie Mountain Health is seeking a Radiologist to join the Radiology group at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. This position is for a diagnostic radiologist to join our primarily hospital-based practice. The hospital practices are high volume and include CT, radiology, ultrasound, fluoroscopy, and MRI. General call duties are expected and include coverage of CT, US and Xray during the evening and weekends throughout the year. Call duties are split between all members of the group. Fellowship and non-fellowship trained applicants are welcome to apply. Candidates must have board certification in Diagnostic Radiology by the RCPSC by their start date. Qualified PRA candidates are encouraged to apply, provided they meet eligibility requirements.

Credentials:
– The successful candidate must hold a Doctor of Medicine degree
– The successful candidate must be eligible for certification with the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Canada certified in Diagnostic Radiology
– Current licensure or eligible for full license with the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Manitoba
– Must be a member of CMPA or provide proof of equivalent malpractice insurance

All Health Care workers are required to be immunized as a condition of employment in accordance with the Prairie Mountain Health policy.
The successful candidate will be responsible for any service charges incurred. A security check is considered current if it was obtained no more than six (6) months prior to the start of employment.
