What is this role responsible for?

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Life Insurance Policy Service Coordinator to support 2-3 life insurance specialists. This role involves managing, coordinating, and facilitating in-force policy service for active life insurance policies, as well as handling assigned orphan accounts. The ideal candidate will possess an active life insurance license and have a strong background in life insurance policy administration.

What will your role be responsible for?

  • Provide comprehensive administrative support to 2-3 life insurance specialists.
  • Serve as the first point of contact for clients, providing prompt, professional, and courteous assistance via phone, email, or in-person. Answer policy-related inquiries, striving to resolve issues and concerns in a timely and satisfactory manner.
  • Manage and coordinate in-force policy service requests, ensuring timely and accurate processing.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, insurance specialists, and insurance carriers.
  • Handle assigned orphan accounts, providing exceptional service and support.
  • Manage and process life insurance claims, ensuring all documentation is complete and accurate.
  • Maintain accurate records of policy changes, updates, and client interactions.
  • Manage and coordinate policy reviews and client meetings, including assisting in the preparation and conduct of policy reviews.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements and company policies.
  • Address client inquiries and resolve issues related to in-force policies.
  • Collaborate with Sales Associates for cross-training and act as backup support during peak periods, absences, or vacations.
  • Work with team members to improve service processes and client satisfaction.

What do we expect from you?

  • Active life insurance license (including Accident and Sickness) is mandatory.
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in life insurance policy administration or a similar role, preferably in a brokerage agency or national account firm with a high degree of client contact.
  • Multi-carrier product knowledge including fundamental concepts, practices, and procedures used in the life insurance industry;
  • Familiarity with industry regulations and compliance standards;
  • Strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Proficiency in using insurance policy management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills across multiple client interactive platforms (in-person, virtual, phone and mail) and an ability to explain complex concepts in a clear and concise manner.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

How to differentiate yourself from others:

  • Life insurance sales experience;
  • Other industry education or designations (e.g CFP);
  • Knowledge of Equisoft Centralize, Microsoft Dynamics CRM, and/or Dataphile; and/or
  • French proficiency is an asset.

Salary Range: BC (based on Education, Work Experience, etc) $50,000-60,000 in addition to competitive performance bonuses/incentives.
