Automotive Maintenance Supervisor - The main function of a maintenance supervisor is to establish, implement, and maintain long-range plans for improvement of maintenance activities and provide technical assistance to the manufacturing departments supported. As a Maintenance Supervisor, you will responsible for the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment in supporting SPQRC (Safety, People, Quality, Responsiveness, Cost) initiatives.
Compensation and Work Schedule
- Term: 52 weeks assignment; could extend or go direct
- Start date: Immediate
- Work Schedule: Either Swing Shift (alternating 2 weeks day shift/2 weeks afternoon shift) OR Stead Third Shifts (night shift)
*Must be flexible to work any shift and all overtime required*
- Compensation: $38 and up
- Work location/environment: Ingersoll, ON; Assembly plant
Required Skills and Experience
- Minimum High School Diploma or GED, associate degree in Engineering or related technical field preferred
- 6-8 years' maintenance supervisor experience of a multi-trade workforce in a manufacturing environment
- MUST HAVE AUTOMOTIVE EXPERIENCE
- Experience in machine, assembly, and/or facility areas
- Trained in skilled trades area or equivalent technical training
- Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, assembly processes, and both mechanical and electrical concepts
- Ability to interpret blueprints and engineering drawings
- Knowledge of basic math, mechanical and electrical concepts.
- Experience in machine, assembly and/or facility areas.
- Knowledge of and ability to insure a safe industrial work environment.
- Experience in supervision of multi-trade workforce.
- Strong knowledge of tooling, manufacturing, assembly processes.

-Coordinate the development of safe and effective maintenance procedures.
-Organize your team and measure their performance through application of General Motors’ Global Manufacturing System (GMS)
-Collaborate with, support and trust your peers across functions to achieve enterprise objectives.
