- Regular interior, exterior patrols and checking all doors are secured
- Manage difficult or irate callers. De-escalate tense situations over the phone
- Engagement with customers, employees and visitors on the property
- Surveillance of CCTV cameras, alarms, and access control systems
- Performing in high-risk situations, with potentially high-risk individuals
- Provide coaching, guidance, and supervision to security team members
- Document all incidents through report writing
- liaise with clients to ensure effective communication and satisfaction.
- Respond promptly and decisively to security incidents or emergencies
- Apprehend offenders and turn them over to appropriate authorities
- Valid Alberta provincial security guard license
- 3-5 years of experience as Security Guard
- Advanced computer and telephonic skills
- Advanced operate security systems- surveillance, alarms and access control systems
- Advanced interpersonal and proactive engagement skills
- Ability to respond effectively to active threats or violent incidents with speed, precision and decisiveness
- Proficient in dealing with individuals and being able to demonstrate active listening by fully focusing on others.
- Ability to work under pressure
- Time management and Client relationship management
- High school diploma or equivalent
- First aid and CPR certification is an asset
- 1 year minimum of customer service experience
