Clinical Specialist Instructor - Physician Assistant

We are seeking a Physician Assistant Clinical Specialist Instructor to help support the design, development and delivery of Canadian Forces Health Services Group Training and Education programs.

This is a contract position for up to 131 days per year that may be renewable for multiple years based on customer demands. The role will be based at CFB Borden, with on-site requirements for instruction and work-from-home availability for curriculum design aspects.

Responsibilities

• Instruct Clinical Specialty T&E Programs
• Develop lesson plans
• Prepare classing, equipment, job aids and learning tools for instruction
• Set up/break down of training requirements such as dismantling equipment and classrooms
• Counsel and provide remedial Training and Education to students who are experiencing academic difficulties
• Assess students
• Advise on student performance
• Maintain student files and feedback notes
• Advise on the quality and efficiency of the instruction
  
  

Qualifications

• Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree OR postgraduate diploma/certificate from a recognized Canadian University of College or Equivalent from a foreign university in a field related to a Physician Assistant
• Must have completed a minimum of 20 days within the last 5 years in instructing Physician Assistants in a military health services environment
• Must hold a valid professional license in good standing with the Canadian Association of Physician Assistants or an equivalent governing body
• Must hold military PLQ Primary Learning Qualification– AINR (PLP) qualifications
• Must have 20 days of experience within the last five years operating training simulators in any of the following fields: Aerospace Medicine, Hyperbaric Medicine, General Medical Simulation, General Military Simulation
  
  

Additional Requirements

• Bilingual in both Official languages preferred
• You must have the ability to work onsite, as public transportation may not always be available. Onsite requirements may vary over the life of the contract.
• You must be a Canadian Citizen.
• You must be able to obtain a Government Security Clearance at the Secret level. We will help you obtain this qualification.
