City: Waterloo, ON
Contract type: Full time

Why join Voyis?
Our team is made up of problem-solvers, passionate about pushing the boundaries of what’s possible underwater. We get excited about building cool stuff and working on exciting projects like capturing digital twins of the Titanic (and lots of other shipwrecks too!). Each member of our team makes a significant impact, not just to our business, but for our customers as well. All our products are proudly designed and built in Waterloo.
Voyis designs and manufactures high performance underwater lasers, cameras and lights for underwater vehicles that expand capability and enhance understanding in underwater surveys and exploration. Our products have enabled our customers to survey thousands of kilometers of ocean floor across all seven continents, helping them better understand those remote, challenging environments.
Our mission is to push the limits of what is possible subsea and enable every underwater vehicle to see the depths like we see the surface. Our small and talented engineering team takes a systems-thinking approach to design and problem solving. Our products are able to withstand the rigors, corrosion, and pressures of deep subsea environments.
How you could be part of our team:
Voyis is looking for a Mechanical Designer who is excited to be part of a fast-paced, collaborative environment where innovation, initiative, flexibility and results are valued. This is a full-scope design role - from discussions with product and sales about the requirements to working with manufacturing engineering to transition the validated design into production. Learning and growth opportunities are many within our growing team and market. The technology is constantly evolving as are the application areas that we serve. If you are passionate about using your mechanical design expertise to develop solutions for real technological challenges, we want to hear from you. Come and join us in our mission to see the depths like we see the surface.
This position is not eligible for remote work.
