The Assistant Manager Events is responsible for supporting ACI World’s events strategy and revenue-generating activities. Duties include providing logistical support for the planning of ACI World events, assist in tracking objectives and deliverables, providing support to the Manager, Events in monitoring the budgets and reconciliation among other tasks. The candidate will be expected to assist the Manager, Events in all tasks related to planning and delivering our global events as well as webinars.

I. Major Functions Responsibilities:

  • Working with internal teams to provide logistical support for global and local events
  • Managing and coordinating follow-up actions related to the sale of sponsorship, working with the Assistant Manager, Sponsorship & Events to ensure deliverables are met within the determined timeframe and budget.
  • Identifying new potential vendors and suppliers and developing relationships with key contacts.
  • Supporting the Manager, Events in their daily tasks and team objectives
  • Managing the webinar platform and working with internal teams to ensure successful delivery of webinars .
  • Tracking event progress including registration, costs of sale, current expenses, etc.
  • Supporting the Manager, Events in logistics and planning of events including liaising with suppliers, reviewing contracts, quotes and invoicing process, etc.
  • Provide other required support to the Events team

II. Qualification and Skills

  • Higher education or a minimum of 5 years experience in event planning.
  • Excellent French and English skills, with clear writing style is essential.
  • Additional languages considered an asset
  • Budget and contract management experience is a plus

III. Requirements:

  • A strong understanding of event logistics and customer service
  • Superior organizational skills to carry out and prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Excellent communication skills and aptitude for fostering positive relationships.
  • Teamwork skills, but with ability to work independently and assume full responsibility for assigned tasks.
