Essential Job Function

• Familiarity with site standard operating procedures with a focus on detail and accuracy
• Know the site safety and emergency procedures and ensure they are followed and documented accurately
• Complete security incident reports with a report writing database focused on the 5 W's, accuracy and database integrity
• Liaise with visitors, customers and the public in a concierge focused security setting at reception desk posts
• Maintaining a positive, productive work environment through collaboration with employees, visitors, customers and the security team
• Walking for 2+ hours while on both interior and exterior patrols.
• Monitor email communications and respond in a clear manner with the utmost professionalism
• Responding to emergency situations a first aid trained responder
  
  

Qualifications

• Valid Ontario Security Guard license
• Valid First Aid & CPR level C certificate
• Vulnerable Sector Check
• Proficient in English, both oral and written
• Microsoft Office experience
  
  

Requirements

• Working knowledge of the Trespass to Property Act.
• Able to maintain a professional composure when dealing with unusual circumstances and people under conditions of urgency and in pressure situations.
• Excellent communication skills with a focus on customer service along with good computer abilities are all core requirements.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills. Ability to write clear, concise and legible reports.
• Demonstrated punctuality and reliability, tact and diplomacy.
• Patrol assigned area on foot, to ensure personal, building and equipment security.
• Watch for and report irregularities by completing investigations and incident reports, such as security breaches, facility and safety hazards and emergency situations; contact emergency responders, such as police, fire and/or ambulance personnel, as required.
• Sustain effective relationships with key stakeholders and provide specialized security services by enforcing rules and regulations when required.
• Offer support to any person in need such as providing good customer service when providing a security presence, such as providing direction, responding to an emergency situation involving violent individuals and injuries.
• Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned.
  
  

Working on assigned shifts, you will work casual shifts providing proactive and reactive security to various clients. You will be required to write reports and investigate routine incidents, as well as respond to coded emergencies in a quick and efficient manner. You should display excellent customer service skills. In this role, it is essential that you are physically fit and able to stand and walk for long periods of time.

Certification Requirements (Any)

Standard First Aid, CPR Level C

Valid Ontario Security License
