Continuing Care Assistant

Bayshore is seeking highly skilled and compassionate Continuing Care Assistants to deliver exceptional care and support to our clients, ensuring their comfort, safety, and well-being.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive homemaking services, including cleaning, cooking, laundry, and household management.
• Offer companionship and accompany clients to community activities and events.
• Administer personal care services as per care plan directives.
• Ensure the emotional, spiritual, and physical comfort and safety of clients.
• Assist clients with activities of daily living, tailored to their needs.
• Perform specialized procedures with training and competency.
• Observe and document client conditions; report any changes to the Supervisor or Office.
• Implement and adhere to infection prevention practices.

Job Qualification

Requirements:

• Completion of accredited CCA program or equivalent education.
• Strong knowledge of caregiving principles and customer service.
• Communication skills in English; French proficiency is an asset.
• Current knowledge of community care practices.
• Physical ability to assist clients and lift weights up to 23 kg.
• Reliable transportation; driver's license and automobile required.
• Clear Criminal background check with Vulnerable Sector Check.
