Our Senior Solutions Architect role is designed for an enthusiastic self-starter who is passionate about delivering the right solution. This is a senior-level position where you will have ownership of the technical direction of client engagements for the entire lifecycle of developing and implementing cutting-edge solutions. To do this work effectively, you will get to regularly interface with clients as the leading technologist on their accounts and closely collaborate with some of the best cloud engineers in the world.


This is a fully remote role based anywhere in the Americas, working flexible hours within USA time zones. We can only consider candidates with a very high level of spoken and written English.


Responsibilities:


  • Work directly with clients to understand their current technical environment, their technical and commercial requirements, and the best way to meet (and exceed) their goals
  • Partner with our cloud engineers to develop a tailored solution that leverages the power of the public cloud
  • Own the responsibility for the entire engagement lifecycle, from pre-sales (estimates and spec teardowns), to planning (timeline, benchmarks, responsibilities), to execution (communication and accountability), and delivery
  • Lead in a hands-on capacity and ready to answer client and technical team questions, anticipate problems, and keep technical progress moving
  • Share your expertise to inspire confidence in the client, advocate for the virtues of cloud computing to skeptics at the client company, and mentor more junior team members
  • Inform the company's broader strategic direction with your industry insights and technical experience
  • Create best practices with supporting documentation to improve our internal processes, laying a foundation for fast-paced growth and industry-defining development
  • Show willingness to get your hands dirty where needed and demonstrate your technical and architectural skills


Requirements:


  • Minimum 10 years of total work experience, preferably 15
  • Minimum 5 years experience working with Azure Cloud
  • Experience with cloud cost optimization, FinOps, Azure cloud services
  • 2+ years of writing production-quality code
  • 4+ years of architecture and design decision-making experience on software projects
  • 2+ years of technical design decision-making experience with cloud computing services
  • Evidence of senior technical leadership where you measurably influenced a software development team of 10+ people
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills so that you can meaningfully contribute to high-level conversations about business goals and technical requirements and prepare and present compelling written materials for clients.
  • Be based somewhere in the Americas (North, Central or South America)
  • Be able to work flexible hours within US time zones (from PST to EST)
