Your Job

DarkVision, a Koch Engineered Solutions company, is looking for a Technical Writer who wants to make an impact and play a key role in marketing the most advanced acoustic imaging technology and service in the world.

Our technology is highly differentiated, world-class, and a dream to market. In this role, you will serve as the voice of DarkVision and be key to bringing our marketing content to life. You'll be based out of our head office in North Vancouver and will be working with the Director of Marketing to communicate the impact and gains our customers have achieved with DarkVision. You work closely with Product and Sales to create copy, case studies, paper summaries, and other marketing content that is fluff-free, deliberate, and focused. We do things by first principles, and don't just follow the latest trends.

The ideal candidate has experience with technical communications or is great with writing about technology, has a strong eye for visuals, and is passionate about creating high-quality content that is easy to understand. Are you meticulous with detail, love the oxford comma, and want to create content that is impactful and not just selling another widget? We want to hear from you!

Our first product line has won numerous awards, has been published in industry-leading journals, and is currently being used by every high-tier operator in our industry. But we are not stopping there. We are packaging the technology for multiple new industrial verticals and have many new initiatives on the horizon. If you are creative, curious and know how to strike a balance between speed of execution and quality, get in touch.

Our Team

Our marketing team is a dynamic, close-knit group that excels at planning and executing marketing strategies across multiple product lines. We're not just executors of ideas - we're creative problem solvers and critical thinkers. By always asking 'why,' we ensure that every campaign is purposeful, tailored, and impactful. Our collaborative energy and curiosity drive us to deliver exceptional results, time and time again.

What You Will Do

  • Create brand-consistent collateral and copy for print and digital channels, including websites, social media, email campaigns, and more.
  • Manage the editorial calendar, and conceptualizing content ideas.
  • Collaborate closely with Product, Sales, and Marketing to understand business objectives and create compelling, technical content.
  • Present content and ideas to internal stakeholders and incorporate feedback as needed.
  • Ensure consistency and quality across all creative assets, uphold brand guidelines, and maintain high standards for grammar and execution of details.

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

  • Writing or content marketing experience in B2B, industrial marketing, or technical communications.

What Will Put You Ahead

  • Technical education and/or experience (engineering, science, or similar discipline).
  • Product marketing experience.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to articulate decisions and work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and deliver high-quality work on time.
  • Attention-to-detail and a passion for creativity and innovation.
