About Our Operation
The Support and Development Center provide services to Agnico Eagle's various Canadian and / or international mining operations in a variety of areas, including administration, financial services, IT, supply chain, human resources, communications, construction as well as technical services (geology, engineering, metallurgy, infrastructure, marketing, innovation, and digital transformation).
Your Next Challenge
You will report to Project Control Lead for the division and work in close collaboration with the members of the project team in all disciplines surrounding the project. You will analyze the costs of a major project within the division, acting as a business partner to the Project Control Lead and discipline leaders in terms of control and management of costs, in order to respect the initial budget allocated to the project. You will ensure goals and objectives are attained, while respecting and encouraging Agnico Eagle’s company culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.

About Our Operation

Your Next Challenge
You will report to Project Control Lead for the division and work in close collaboration with the members of the project team in all disciplines surrounding the project. You will analyze the costs of a major project within the division, acting as a business partner to the Project Control Lead and discipline leaders in terms of control and management of costs, in order to respect the initial budget allocated to the project. You will ensure goals and objectives are attained, while respecting and encouraging Agnico Eagle’s company culture, Health & Safety Code of Conduct and the environment.
Specifically, You Will
- Support month end processes, coordinate month end accruals to accounting;
- Review commitment reports;
- Prepare variance analysis on budgets and forecasts;
- Work closely with the project contract administrator and accounts payable department to monitor and improve processes related to commitments, purchase orders and outstanding invoices;
- Support budget and forecast process through obtaining source data and input to forecast and budget files;
- Assist in the preparation of the annual project budget and interim project forecasts including KPI’s and detailed cost breakdowns of each project;
- Participate in the project contract preparation with the engineering and procurement team, support the construction team during contract execution and provide inputs during contract closure;
- Ensure accuracy of project costs by working in close collaboration with the Finance team and Project Team members;
- Coordinate budgets and revise budgets to ensure accuracy of information;
- Consolidate the short-term or long-term financial forecasts and participate in the analysis, and revision of activities in collaboration;
- Track and estimate project cash flow;
- Provide support in the preparation of monthly and quarterly reports;
- Oversee the project to ensure compliance with Agnico Eagle’s financial processes (internal controls, policies and procedures, accounting standards).
- Bachelor’s Degree or College Diploma in a related discipline (Business, Commerce, Accounting, Economics, etc.);
- 3-10 years of experience in financial/accounting field;
- Highly developed Microsoft Office Skills (esp. Excel);
- Proficiency in the use of the English language as you will be working in collaboration with other Agnico Eagle sites where English is the primary language.
- Excellent communication and analytical skills;
- Strong sense of time management and stress management;
- Strong sense of organization, team spirit, and autonomy;
- Ability to develop and maintain working relationships with various stakeholders;
- Ability to meet tight deadlines;
- Ability to prioritize and schedule;
- Strong attention to detail and quality.
- Schedule: 40 hours per week, from Monday to Friday. Possibility of 5-2-4-3 schedule;
- Workplace: Kirkland Lake construction sites and Rouyn-Noranda offices. There is a possibility to have a hybrid work schedule, working some days from the office and some days in telecommuting.
