Project Manager

MatchBox Consulting Group is currently seeking a Project Manager on behalf of one of BC’s largest electrical and utilities providers.

Location: Downtown Vancouver, BC | Hybrid (2 days in office per week)

Contract Duration: 1 year (high potential of renewal)

Responsibilities:

• Plan, direct, and report on business process changes or similar project activities by consistently monitoring project benefits, resources, and status. Create key project documents, including project plans, action logs, communication plans, status reports, and post-implementation reviews to ensure successful execution.
• Develop comprehensive project and risk management plans by identifying, analyzing, and monitoring risks to ensure effective mitigation throughout the project lifecycle.
• Execute project management activities, including scoping, planning, managing, monitoring, and reporting on project tasks, utilizing intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
• Maintain strong relationships with stakeholders through regular reporting and communication, leveraging excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills to facilitate the timely progression of projects.

Requirements:

Must-Haves:

• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and drive informed decision-making.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business, Economics, or a related discipline.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in project management or an equivalent role.
• Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken, for a professional environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and XRM at an intermediate level.
• Ability to manage and prioritize a high volume of projects simultaneously (up to 200 at any given time).
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships.
• Extensive project management experience, with a proven track record of successfully delivering complex initiatives.

Nice to Have:

• Experience in the utility sector is considered an asset.
