Reporting to the Commercial Manager, the Change Manager (Project Manager) will be a project based role. The Change Manager will oversee all aspects of change management processes within Major infrastructure project, ensuring effective management of contract changes, project impacts, and stakeholder communications. This role involves managing change requests, assessing potential project risks, and collaborating with project teams to develop and implement change strategies that support project objectives. The ideal candidate brings extensive experience in change and claims management, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to drive process improvements in a complex project environment.

This role involves managing change requests, assessing potential project risks, and collaborating with project teams to develop and implement change strategies that support project objectives. What You’ll Be Working On
- Lead the change management process for infrastructure projects, including identifying, assessing, and implementing change requests while ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
- Evaluate the impact of change requests on project cost, schedule, and resources, providing detailed analyses and recommendations to project leadership.
- Prepare and present change management documentation, including impact assessments, change order requests, and risk mitigation plans.
- Facilitate change management meetings with internal and external stakeholders to ensure alignment on potential impacts, options, and approvals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including project management, contracts, and finance, to integrate change impacts into the project’s overall performance metrics.
- Manage a structured change log to track all requests, approvals, and outcomes, ensuring that project records are accurate and up-to-date.
- Support claims management processes by identifying and documenting potential claims, assessing validity, and recommending negotiation or resolution strategies.
- Ensure effective communication with contractors, clients, and project teams regarding change management processes, updates, and expectations.
- Develop and implement best practices for change and claims management processes, driving continuous improvement across projects.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior leadership on the status of change requests, risks, and potential claims, highlighting any areas of concern or impact on project goals.
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Construction Management, Project Management, or a related discipline.
- 10+ years of experience in change management, ideally within large-scale infrastructure or construction projects.
- Relevant certifications, such as PMP (Project Management Professional) or CCM (Certified Construction Manager), preferred.
- Proficiency with change and claims management tools, including:
- Strong understanding of construction contracts, change order processes, and claims management practices.
- Proven experience conducting impact assessments, risk analyses, and cost estimations for change requests.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to synthesize complex information and provide actionable insights to project teams and leadership.
- Exceptional communication and negotiation skills with experience managing high-stakes stakeholder interactions.
