Logistics Specialist - Delta or Vancouver

The Role
At STRIVE, we are partnered with excellent client and a leader in their industry with an impressive 100+ years in business. They are currently seeking an experienced Logistics Specialist to join their Logistics team at either their Delta or Vancouver facility.
The Logistics Specialist will manage export documents, negotiate shipping rates, optimize transportation, track inventory, and coordinate seafood shipments to the U.S. and Canada.
This will be a Monday-Friday position with a starting time of 7:30 AM or 8:30 AM. This person may be required for flexibility for extra work hours during stat holidays on a rotational basis.

The Logistics Specialist will manage export documents, negotiate shipping rates, optimize transportation, track inventory, and coordinate seafood shipments to the U.S. and Canada.

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and schedule shipments for U.S. and Canadian customers based on shipping schedules and requirements.
- Ensure accurate completion and submission of commercial invoices and customs documents to the customs broker.
- Match FDA releases and customs paperwork, providing updates to the sales team.
- Handle inbound order transactions and address shipping, pricing, and order inquiries from customers and the sales team.
- Match delivery paperwork from the processing facility and generate customer invoices.
- Verify, code, and process invoices from service providers for payment.
- Maintain organized records of all completed shipments.
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to resolve issues and improve logistics processes.
- Manage after-hours shipping issues as needed.
- 4+ years of Canadian and U.S. export logistics experience.
- Experience with fresh/perishable products.
- Post-secondary education in the supply chain is considered an asset.
- Strong teamwork and adaptability, coordinating with processing facilities, shipping offices, and logistics teams across locations.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment with shifting priorities.
- Proficient in multiple systems, including AX Dynamics, Great Plains, etc.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills in English.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and efficient in managing tasks.
- Own vehicle required.
