Our Ideal Candidate

We are looking for a passionate and driven Civil Engineer-in-Training with experience in the construction field to join our Kamloops, BC team. As the successful candidate, you will have the opportunity to support the team with the design and execution of a variety of civil projects.

A Day in the Life

  • Support the design and planning of transportation infrastructure, bridges, roads, and other civil or structural projects
  • Assist with field engineering reviews during the implementation or construction of projects ranging from small to large.
  • Perform field quality management, surveying, and materials testing activities.
  • Support with the development of estimates of project costs, analysis and calculations, designs, preparation of reports, proposals, and contract documentation.
  • Continue to delight our clients with a commitment to providing excellent work, on time, and on schedule.

What You’ll Bring to the Team

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering (other disciplines encouraged to apply if practicing Civil Engineering)
  • Must be eligible to register as an EIT with EGBC in the province of British Columbia
  • 0-4 years of relevant experience in civil engineering
  • Field experience in materials testing (soils, concrete, asphalt), survey, engineering field reviews, construction quality management, or contract administration is considered an asset.
  • Experience in bridge structural design, bridge/culvert hydrology or hydraulics is also considered an asset.
  • Effective verbal communicator, including presentation, facilitation and listening skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as in a team environment
  • Willingness to travel to different job sites as required
  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
  • Familiarity with safety standards and regulations in engineering practices
  • Good organization skills and strong attention to detail
