The Designated Manager (DM) is responsible for overseeing all aspects of operations in the Ottawa West, including business development, team leadership, client relationships, and financial performance. The DM will work collaboratively with the Summit Property Group Ottawa West leadership team to drive growth, ensure operational excellence, and deliver exceptional service to our clients.

This role requires a hands-on leader who is willing to work in the field as necessary to support the team, ensure service quality, and meet operational demands.

Key Responsibilities

Operational Leadership

  • Develop and execute strategic plans to achieve operational goals, revenue targets, and market growth.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations, ensuring efficient resource allocation and delivery of services.
  • Implement and enforce Summit Property Group’s standard operating procedures and quality standards.
  • Work in the field as needed to support the team, troubleshoot issues, and ensure high-quality service delivery.

Team Leadership

  • Recruit, train, and manage a high-performing team, fostering a positive work culture.
  • Provide mentorship and guidance to team members to promote professional growth.
  • Ensure all staff adhere to safety protocols and company policies.

Business Development

  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand the client base.
  • Build strong relationships with residential, commercial, and municipal clients.
  • Respond to RFPs, negotiate contracts, and develop customized service solutions.

Client Relations

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for high-value clients.
  • Proactively address client concerns and implement solutions to exceed expectations.
  • Maintain a strong reputation for reliability, responsiveness, and excellence in service delivery.

Qualifications

Experience:

  • Minimum of 5 years in a leadership role, preferably in facility maintenance, landscaping, or related industries.
  • At least 5 years of experience in landscape maintenance and snow removal is required.
  • Proven track record of business development and operational success.

Skills

  • Strong leadership and team-building abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Good knowledge in technology and software relevant to scheduling, CRM, and reporting.

Other Requirements

  • Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
  • Ability to work flexible hours, including occasional weekends or evenings, as required.
  • Willingness and ability to work in the field as needed.
