The Director, Business Solutions is responsible for leading the strategy, implementation, and management of innovative digital solutions and applications that align with business objectives and drive operational efficiency. This role is pivotal in supporting the organization’s scalability by ensuring technology initiatives are aligned with strategic goals, while fostering innovation, efficiency, and growth. As a player-coach, you excel at collaborating with cross-functional teams to understand their needs, manage vendor relationships, and lead a talented team to ensure enterprise systems support the organization’s growth and operational excellence.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Strategic Planning and Execution

• Create and implement a comprehensive strategy for enterprise systems that align with organizational goals, staying current on industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices.
• Lead the evaluation, selection, and implementation of enterprise technologies, aligned to evolving organizational priorities and ensure they meet performance and reliability standards.
• Oversee the optimization of our existing ERP, CRM, and other essential business system, continuously refining and optimizing to achieve desired outcomes.
• Lead the company’s data and analytics initiative, building single source-of-truth dashboards and reports to provide visibility into KPI’s and support business outcomes. Coach managers, team members, and consultants to understand individual customer reporting requirements while promoting uniformity.

Project, Stakeholder, and Change Management

• Partner with business leaders to understand their needs and translate them into technical solutions.
• Lead in IT CAB to support the adoption and integration of digital solutions across the organization, ensuring seamless transitions and optimizing value realization.
• Drive system integrations to enable seamless data flow and improved business processes.
• Create and monitor effective key performance indicators to assess the quality and impact of technological solutions.
• Provide regular updates to leadership on project progress, risks, and opportunities.

Team Leadership

• Build and lead a high-performing business solutions team of 4 to 6, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation and accountability.
• Provide mentorship, training, and professional development opportunities for team members.

Budget and Vendor Management

• Develop and own budgets for enterprise systems projects, based on operational needs.
• Negotiate and manage contracts with software vendors, consultants, and service providers.
• Ensure cost-effective solutions while maintaining high quality service and prioritizing projects appropriately.

Governance and Compliance

• Ensure timely upgrades and patches to maintain system performance and compliance.
• Ensure SOP’s and training materials are maintained for effective use of enterprise systems.
• Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) and other regulatory requirements.

Your Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in information technology, Computer Science, Business Administration, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
• 10+ years of experience in IT, with at least 5 years in a leadership role overseeing enterprise systems across multi-entity organizations.
• Proven track record of managing large-scale system implementations and integrations.
• Strong understanding of ERP, CRM, and other enterprise applications, preferably in manufacturing.

Must have the ability to maintain and pass an RCMP criminal record check and obtain a security clearance.
