Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-driven Solar Consultant to educate potential customers about solar energy solutions, analyze their energy needs, and provide tailored recommendations that align with their goals. This role requires strong sales acumen, excellent communication skills, and a passion for renewable energy. You’ll play a vital role in helping customers make the switch to solar while contributing to a greener future.
Responsibilities
- Consultative Selling: Conduct thorough assessments of customers' energy needs and provide customized solar solutions. Address any concerns and objections with professionalism.
- Sales Presentations: Deliver compelling presentations and demonstrations of solar products and services to showcase the benefits and value of going solar.
- Lead Generation & Business Development: While our Door-to-Door (D2D) Appointment Setters provide leads, Sales Consultants are also expected to generate their own leads through personal marketing and networking efforts. A proactive approach is key to maintaining a steady sales pipeline.
- Contract Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contract agreements to secure solar installation commitments.
- Customer Relationship Management: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers throughout the sales process, ensuring satisfaction and long-term loyalty.
- Pipeline & CRM Management: Track leads, follow up with prospects, and manage the sales pipeline effectively using HubSpot CRM to maximize conversion rates.
- Documentation: Ensure timely and accurate completion of sales contracts, customer agreements, and financing applications.
- Market Awareness: Stay updated on industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory developments to position our products effectively in the market.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with the sales team, design department, and management to optimize strategies and drive business growth.
What We’re Looking For
- Proven experience in sales (minimum 1 year required), preferably in a consultative sales environment.
- Strong deal-closing ability with exceptional negotiation and persuasion skills.
- Ability to manage multiple deals, follow up with customers, and properly utilize CRM software (HubSpot experience preferred).
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to quickly build rapport with diverse customer groups.
- Ability to attend 3-4 sales appointments per day, sometimes back-to-back.
- Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and driven to exceed sales targets.
- Passion for renewable energy and a willingness to learn about solar energy systems.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation required.

Pay: $145,920.00-$155,938.00 per year
