Position Overview
Our Saint John, NB, location is seeking a Rigging Inspection Technician.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist all departments within Hydraulics, Rigging, and Rubber.
- Conduct thorough inspections of rigging, lifting, and fall protection equipment, ensuring it meets safety standards, specifically within industrial environments.
- Assisting with rigging inspections.
- Fabricating wire rope & chain sling assemblies.
- Testing of hoists, slings, and bridles.
- Travel and work both indoors and outdoors.
- Working extended hours, including evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts.
Ideal Candidate:
- Trade or service experience in industrial settings.
- Demonstrates strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Maintains a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Minimum high school education or equivalent.
- Demonstrates high attention to detail and is highly motivated.
- Proficiency in computer skills, including Outlook, data entry, etc.
- Capable of embracing role changes and tackling new challenges.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Able to communicate professionally with customers.
- Adaptable to new challenges and changing responsibilities.
