What will your typical day look like?

We are looking for an individual to assist in the management of risk for the business and to come up with appropriate risk mitigation strategies. Responsibilities include reviewing request for proposals and contractual documents such as statements of works to assess risk and mitigate it through contractual negotiations and/or establishing risk mitigation strategies. This requires a keen understanding of terms and conditions and their potential risks to the business, aligning them within risk tolerance while considering business needs.

About the team

We are a growing risk team that supports our advisory services within Deloitte including OperateNext, Technology and Transformation, and Strategy, Risk and Technology. We assist engagement teams and leadership with managing risk for service lines, involving negotiating contractual terms, managing associated risks, and resolving complex contractual questions.

You are someone who is/has:

  • Proficient in handling contractual terms and conditions that pose a risk to the company and managing complex contractual risk considerations
  • Ability to identify risk with the contractual terms presented by clients and help the business manage it to minimize risk
  • A minimum of 5 years' experience in contract negotiations
  • Confident in communicating and articulating risk positions on contracts and developing risk mitigation strategies
  • Proficiency with Canadian standards, terms, and industry standards
  • Able to build strong relationships with internal and external parties
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment with high-pressure demands
  • Ability to multitask and manage conflicting priorities
  • Able to take on ad hoc responsibilities as assigned

Total Rewards

The salary range for this position is $85,000 - $156,000, with eligibility for our bonus program. Our Total Rewards Package includes traditional compensation and benefits, mental health support, flexible benefit spending accounts, generous time off, and hybrid work arrangements.
