About the role:

We're seeking a Purchasing Agent to join our team in Salmon Arm. Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Purchasing Agent’s primary role is to ensure timely and accurate processing of purchase orders to support our growing operations. This role involves utilizing our suite of software tools and collaborating closely with our valued suppliers to ensure our team receives the resources they need, precisely when they need them.

Primary duties:

· You will procure materials, supplies, equipment, and services for operations

· You will closely communicate with critical suppliers to ensure lead times and supplier quantities are aligned with production requirements

· You will search for and identify opportunities to reduce cost and/or lead time

· You will perform a variety of administrative activities

· You will maintain data integrity and accuracy within our software systems

Secondary duties:

· You will support our internal teams with administrative support when needed

· You will provide support and coverage to the warehousing team where required

What you bring:

· More than anything else, you will be organized and a strong communicator

· Excellent time management skills

· Experience with NetSuite or another ERP system

· 1+ years of experience at a manufacturing company

· At least one year of post-secondary education in business, supply chain management, or a related field.
