To achieve this, we have developed The Globe Pulsed Field System – we have a fantastic technical team that has developed a product with strong, unique, and customer-valued differentiators versus other solutions on the market. We have built connections with key opinion leaders who are already using the Globe System and are helping to tell our story.
We have now completed our pivotal clinical study and our focus is on regulatory approvals and commercial launch. This is an exciting and significant milestone in our journey to bring this ground-breaking technology to patients.
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Medical Affairs Associate to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will report to the Senior Director Medical Affairs and will play a crucial role in supporting our medical affairs activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and contributing to the development and dissemination of clinical and scientific information to support the commercial launch of the Globe Pulsed Field System .
Please note, this opportunity is a hybrid work arrangement, located in Burnaby, BC.

Kardium has listed the total cash compensation range (base salary + 5% RRSP contribution) that we expect to pay applicants for this role, as of the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on numerous relevant business and candidate factors including, for example, education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, and business or organizational needs. For candidates with more or less experience than listed above, the pay range will be adjusted.
As a permanent employee, you will also participate in Kardium’s stock option plan.
Total cash – the total cash we’ve listed for this position includes a base salary, plus a contribution to a Registered Retirement Savings plans (RRSP) to help support your financial goals.
Comprehensive medical & dental coverage – for all permanent employees – effective as of Day 1, with no waiting period.
Work-day flexibility – additionally, we provide 3 personal days per year.

Your Responsibilities Will Include
- Assist in the development and execution of medical affairs strategies and plans.
- Support the preparation and review of clinical study protocols, reports, and publications.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including R&D, regulatory affairs, and marketing, to ensure alignment of medical affairs activities with company goals.
- Provide medical and scientific support for product development, regulatory submissions, and post-market surveillance.
- Assist in the preparation of medical and scientific materials for internal and external stakeholders, including healthcare professionals, regulatory agencies, and patients.
- Monitor and analyze clinical and scientific data to identify trends and opportunities for product improvement and innovation.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulatory requirements and industry standards.

You will be successful in this role because you possess these attributes:
- Bachelor's degree in a life science, healthcare, or related field (advanced degree preferred).
- 4-5+ years of experience in medical affairs, clinical research, or a related field within the medical device or pharmaceutical industry.
- Strong understanding of electrophysiology and cardiac care.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Detail-oriented with a high level of accuracy and organization.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with medical and scientific databases.
- Basic statistical knowledge with experience in R or SAS
