What You’ll Be Doing: As an IT Bench Technician you will be responsible for delivering a positive customer experience by ensuring that client service level commitments are completely met or exceeded. You will take pride in setting up and deploying technology, handling hardware repairs, and managing shipping and receiving tasks while maintaining high client satisfaction.
What You’ll Be Working On
- Set-up computer and technology deployment.
- Hardware repair and diagnostics.
- Shipping and receiving product handling.
- Support and backfill the Field Technician.
- Complete change and incident request tickets.
- Work with vendors to complete service requests.
- Diagnose and resolve advanced issues.
- Understand and follow service operational standards, processes, and best practices.
- Participate in a rotating on-call schedule.
- May need to travel up to 20%.
- Post-secondary education in Information Technology.
- 3+ years of IT experience, ideally including experience in a help desk environment.
- 3+ years of experience with Domains, GPOs, and Active Directory.
- Experience in Bench is preferred but not required.
- Experience or familiarity with Windows/MDT.
- Responsible, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and a good communicator.
- Effective time management and time tracking.
- Proven track record of providing excellent customer service and troubleshooting solutions in a busy environment.
- Valid driver’s license with a reasonably clean driving record.
- Skills: driven, organized, and autonomous.
- Ability to lift heavy IT equipment including but not limited to desktops, printers, workstations, and UPS etc. up to 50 lbs. without assistance.
