About the job:
Kent is looking for an Ethics & Compliance Intern. This position is a part-time internship reporting to our Ethics and Compliance Manager. We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented student intern to join our corporate legal department, focusing on Ethics and Compliance. This internship offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment while contributing to important projects and initiatives.
This role provides exposure to various aspects of corporate compliance, including policy development, risk assessment, and internal reporting. You’ll work closely with experienced professionals and gain valuable insights into the ethics and compliance dimensions of a global corporation.
Skills and Responsibilities:
- Assist the Ethics and Compliance team in ensuring that the company adheres to legal and ethical standards.
- Support the team in monitoring compliance with internal policies, procedures, and relevant regulations.
- Perform research on regulatory changes, industry best practices, and emerging compliance issues.
- Help create a reporting system and assist with reviewing submitted reports.
- Assist with completions of the Conflicts of Interest forms and help manage documentation.
- Support the development and delivery of compliance training materials and initiatives.
- Analyze compliance data and assist in identifying trends or areas of concern.
- Provide administrative assistance, including scheduling meetings, organizing files, and coordinating with other departments.
In addition to the responsibilities listed herein, the employee may be required to perform other ad-hoc tasks as needed or directed by the supervisor or management. These tasks will be within the reasonable scope of the employee's skills, capabilities, and role within the organization, allowing for flexibility and adaptability in meeting the dynamic needs of the organization.
Your knowledge/skills, education, and experience:
Knowledge/ Qualification/ Training/ Certification:
- Current enrollment in a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree program in Law, Business, Finance, or a related field.
Communication:
- Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
Behavior/Core Competencies:
- Strong analytical and research skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Power BI, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Attention to detail and ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Enthusiasm for learning about corporate Ethics and Compliance.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.
- Experience using social media to socialize topics.
- Ability to work with different technology SaaS platforms.
