POSITION SUMMARY
The Senior Human Resources Generalist (Sr. HR Generalist) plays a pivotal role in aligning business objectives with employees and management. Serving as a key contact and culture promoter, the Sr. HR Generalist fosters strong relationships with employees and leadership, providing expert advice on HR strategies, policies, and practices. This position ensures compliance with employment laws, manages employee engagement initiatives, and promotes a high-performance culture.
The Sr. HR Generalist maintains an effective understanding of the organizations financial position, midrange plans, culture, and competition, supporting management and employees in improving workplace relationships, building morale, and driving productivity and retention.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic HR Partnership:
- Collaborate with company leaders to provide guidance on communication, workforce planning, employee engagement, and departmental health.
- Act as a mentor for employees, advising on career development, performance improvement, and engagement strategies.
Employee Relations:
- Address complex employee relations issues, conducting thorough and objective investigations as needed.
- Serve as a resource for employees on policies, procedures, benefits, and problem resolution.
Policy and Program Development:
- Develop and implement equitable compensation programs, HR policies, and procedures.
- Research and recommend updates to compensation practices, ensuring competitiveness and equity.
- Support training and development initiatives, including program evaluations and follow-ups.
HR Administration:
- Administer HRIS systems, reporting, surveys, and leave programs, ensuring timely updates and accuracy.
- Provide input on business unit restructuring, succession planning, and organizational design.
Compliance and Risk Management:
- Ensure adherence to federal and state employment laws, reducing legal risks through effective HR practices.
- Partner with the legal department when needed to address regulatory compliance issues.
Required Skills:
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service abilities.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Proficiency in HRIS systems, Microsoft Office Suite, and data analytics.
- Comprehensive knowledge of employment laws and compliance requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Education and Experience:
- Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business, or a related field (preferred).
- Minimum of 5+ years of HR generalist experience, including employee relations, benefits administration, and program development.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in the technology or managed services industry.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or equivalent certification (preferred or ability to obtain within one year).
- Demonstrated success in building and implementing HRIS systems and HR programs.

- Experience changing/building out HRIS systems and HR programs.
- Work in technology or Managed Service space.
What Is the Work Environment Like?
- Standard office conditions with occasional travel to company sites or customer locations.
- May require extended hours during peak periods or on-call support for urgent matters.
- Frequent interactions via meetings, email, and phone to address HR needs and concerns.
