Maintenance Technician

We are looking for a skilled Maintenance Technician to perform repairs, inspections, and provide excellent maintenance services. The ideal candidate will have strong troubleshooting skills, attention to detail, and a solid understanding of mechanical and electrical systems. You will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance of our equipment, performing preventive maintenance, and addressing any issues that arise. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills are essential to succeed in this role. What will you do?

• Perform general maintenance tasks that may include: millwork (countertops), minor plumbing, repair/install doors, install windows, interior painting, drywall repairs and other similar duties.
• Knowledge of using various power tools, painting, drywall repairs an asset
• Assist with building operations functions as required
• Preform rough and finished carpentry work in the repair and construction of building components
• Fit and install trim, doors, moulding and hardware
• Repair and refinish furniture
• Perform finished carpentry for cabinets and other items
• Operate a variety of standard power tools and equipment
• Respond immediately to emergencies
• Assist with landscaping responsibilities
• Respond immediately to service requests and emergencies that address client and building related issues
  
  

What are we looking for?

• Minimum of two three years previous experience considered an asset
• Completed Grade 12 education
• Clean Driver's abstract required
• Able to use basic power tools and complete basic building maintenance
• Basic command of the English language (written and verbal)
• Exceptional skills in communications, organizational, interpersonal and time management
• Plumbing knowledge would be considered an asset
• Proven experience in exercising good judgement under pressure
• Physically fit, able to stand, crouch, and kneel for long periods of time an lift in excess of 25 kilograms
• Carpentry/Construction skills considered an asset
• Strong customer care and communication skill
