Bee-Clean Building Maintenance is currently looking for a Health and Safety Coordinator for Manitoba & Saskatchewan. This is a full-time, permanent position.
Bee-Clean is Canada’s largest 100% Canadian-owned janitorial company. With over 20 offices across Canada, we have been providing expert building maintenance and complete janitorial services for 50+ years to a variety of clients.
Summary
The Health and Safety Coordinator is responsible for a variety of tasks that cover all aspects of health and safety. The Coordinator will handle tasks within the scope of Health and Safety for operations in Manitoba and Saskatchewan, in coordination with the HR and Operations Managers. This role requires travel to job sites across Manitoba and Saskatchewan.

Pay: $55,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
- Maintain statistics and records, monitoring accident/incident frequencies and safety violations; conduct investigations and complete related documentation
- Maintain safety training documentation
- Ensure timely submission of completed site safety inspections and H&S committee meeting minutes
- Report and manage WCB claims
- Assist in the administration, documentation, and management of the Company’s COR/S2SA program
- Keep management updated on any issues that may impact work performance
- Support site supervision in managing the safety program, including staff training
- Prepare Health & Safety modules for monthly distribution
- Complete weekly site inspections and implement corrective actions
- 3 to 5 years of related experience
- Experience in COR Certification and S2SA
- Certificate in OHS, or working towards one (or equivalent experience) preferred
- Safety Audit certification is an asset
- Working knowledge of WCB claims management is an asset
- Knowledge of safety practices in the mining industry is an asset
- Valid driver’s license and access to a safe, reliable vehicle
- Intermediate Microsoft Office skills
- Proficient with various technologies, including cell phones, laptops, etc.
- Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to speak a second language is an asset
