Joining us at Cariboo Memorial Hospital (CMH) you’ll have a key role within the acute inpatient care setting. This position works Monday to Friday; 08:00 to 16:00 hours.
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physiotherapist to join our warm and welcoming physiotherapy team in Williams Lake, B.C. In this role, you will have opportunity to utilize all your physiotherapy skills and provide care to varied patient populations. Consisting of 28 in-patient acute care beds, CMH’s rehabilitation team supports orthopedic surgery, general surgery, neuro, stroke, spinal cord, amputations, total hip and knee replacements and more. Five convalescent care beds, adjacent to the hospital in Deni House, are also within scope of the inpatient Physiotherapist’s area of responsibility. Enjoy a generalist approach to practice that can only be found in a rural community hospital!
Responsibilities include conducting comprehensive assessments of clients’ physical status, functional abilities, and goals, utilizing an evidence-based approach to develop and implement tailored treatment plans. Your expertise will focus on improving, maintaining, or supporting clients’ physical performance and independence. As part of a collaborative team, you will educate clients and caregivers on self-management and injury prevention, while working to achieve optimal health outcomes through ongoing evaluation and adjustment of treatment strategies. You’ll offer guidance and direction to rehabilitation assistants, ensuring that specific care needs are met and functions are transferred appropriately for optimal client outcomes.
