Client Location: Remote

Engagement Period: 1 year with potential of extension

Working Hours: 8:00am-5:00pm Saskatchewan Time

Our client is seeking a Guidewire Business Analyst to assist with Guidewire production backlog management as well as elaboration efforts associated with enhancements. The client recently implemented Guidewire, and an experienced Guidewire Business Analyst is required to assist in gathering, validating and documenting business requirements to resolve production issues and enhance the platform. The Business Analyst will be expected to provide guidance and recommendations to Guidewire product teams based on Guidewire best practices and experience to best address issue resolution. The term would be until the end of February 2026 with the option to extend. Candidates can perform services on-site or remote.

Requirements

The proposed resources should meet the following requirements:

  • Minimum 5 years of Business Analyst experience.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in gathering business requirements, resolving production issues, and elaborating enhancements.
  • Candidate must have business analysis experience with Guidewire. Expert level experience with Guidewire platform would be considered an asset.
  • Knowledge and experience in Guidewire InsureCloud for Canada would be an asset.
  • Experience in the Canadian insurance property and casualty industry would be an asset.
  • Certified Business Analysis Professional (CBAP), Certification of Capability in Business Analysis (CCBA), or other industry-recognized designation/certification.
  • Advanced knowledge of techniques in eliciting requirements, including business, technical, nonfunctional, security, and testing requirements.
  • Advanced knowledge of various software development lifecycles and project delivery processes (e.g., agile, waterfall).
  • Advanced skill in documenting epics, features, and user stories in JIRA
  • Advanced skill in validation processes (i.e., validating that testing of user stories meets the required acceptance criteria).
  • Proficient knowledge of project management fundamentals.
  • Proficient knowledge of core insurance concepts and principles.
