Intercity Packers is the largest meat/seafood distribution company in Western Canada and part of the Gordon Food Service (GFS).

As our innovative business continues to grow rapidly, we are seeking a Full-Time Inventory Control Coordinator for our Richmond location. This individual will have responsibilities including, organizing the meat cooler/stocking and rotating stock, cycle counting, transferring products to the freezer, and filling orders.

Position: Full Time, Permanent

Schedule: Monday to Friday, 8am-4:30pm

Wage: Starting at $24/hr

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Oversee and plan every activity that relates to inventory control in the organization or warehouse environment.
  • Ensure all items in the warehouse are accurate, audited, received and stored.
  • Ensure inventory will meet customer demands efficiently.
  • Advise on stock inflow and outflow.
  • Compile inventory information and present it to Management for effective decision making, which may include the need for restocking.
  • Provide accurate information on inventory to customers to guide them on order availability.
  • Investigate inaccuracies in the inventory system and execute necessary improvements towards better business performance focusing on customer satisfaction.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Experience in a warehouse environment with inventory control experience.
  • Minimum high school diploma or equivalent.
  • Must be able to perform fundamental mathematical functions.
  • Knowledge of spreadsheet, word processing, presentation, email and internet software applications.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Must have the ability to multi-task, prioritize, and be able to work independently or within a team environment.
