Job Summary

The HR Business Advisor – Investigations, will be a member of our Global Client Services team and will working closely with HR partners, Legal, and various leaders across the business on investigations within the Americas.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and complete investigations into employee concerns in a thorough, impartial, and timely manner.
  • Lead and facilitate resolution of escalated employee relations issues to assist employees and managers in creating a productive, engaging work environment.
  • Document findings, providing updates and recommendations of next steps to a variety of stakeholders, including up to the Executive level.
  • Compile and analyze data to help provide relevant feedback and insights to the business.
  • Assist in policy implementation and interpretation, as needed.
  • Counsel and advise peers and stakeholders on employee issues.
  • Assist as needed with development and deployment of investigations & employee relations training.
  • Assess employee performance challenges or development needs, recommend solutions, and coach managers on effectiveness.
  • May communicate and coach managers in team effectiveness and leadership development.
  • May collaborate with the business and serve as key lead on reporting, analysis and insights as key HR programs, such as our pay and performance review process and employee engagement survey.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years investigations or HR experience with a focus on investigations and/or employee relations.
  • Demonstrated experience leading complex situations, creative problem-solving and strong influencing skills in a matrixed environment. Must have exceptional judgment and discretion.
  • Strong understanding of complex employee-related policy or process (e.g., relations experience with issues specific to performance management and leaves of absence).
  • Coaching and counseling at various manager and employee levels.
  • Experience conducting workplace investigations, demonstrating effective listening, probing and investigatory skills with the ability to synthesize data, identify root problems/causes, and recommend actions to resolution in partnership with Legal.
  • Record of building strong relationships, based on trust and credibility.
  • Ability to lead and make decisions independently.
  • Experience supporting multiple organizations and HR partners.
  • Ability to meet deadlines, manage shifting priorities.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication.
  • User level knowledge of HR systems is critical – Workday experience a strong plus.
  • Facilitation skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related business experience.
  • 10+ years investigations or related experience.
  • Bi-lingual or multilingual preferred.
