About The Role

The Logistic Specialist's main responsibilities include coordinating study designs to support internal and external activities, providing training to colleagues on study designs, and supporting the Study Design Specialist, study director/BPI, the sample management team, and Altasciences clinical and pre-clinical sites with questions/issues related to Watson LIMS study design.

What You’ll Do Here

• Create and verify study designs in Watson LIMS based on study protocols.
• Perform sample associations based on sponsor manifest.
• Coordinate study design request and assign to team members.
• Create and update training documentation.
• Train new employees on study designs.
• Support other sites by creating study designs or training employees.
• Manage discrepancies related to sample reception.
• Investigate and propose corrective actions to resolve issues related to study designs or other problems.
• Write memos to file and ensure execution.
• Perform sample reconciliation.
• Generate reports as requested.
• Facilitate study designs for data reporting.
• Contribute in study design assessment meetings to determine the best approach for creating a study in Watson LIMS.
• Support all users by addressing Watson LIMS issues/questions related to study designs and sample associations.
• Work with IT to solve problems.
• Collaborate with IT validation team by performing UAT and Test Cases.
• Work with management to implement process improvement initiatives.
• Work closely with QC reviewers and Sample Management teams to address issues.
• Participate in SOP review and updates.
• Conduct all work in compliance with SOPs, GLPs, GCPs and observe all company guidelines and policies.
• Perform any other tasks as required.

What You'll Need to Succeed

• B.Sc. or higher in Life Sciences with 3 years of experience or equivalent combination of education and experience will be considered.
• Experience working in preclinical and/or clinical research will be an asset.
• Relevant experience in Sample Management, Ligand Binding Assays, and/or Mass Spectrometry.
• Experience working in a CRO.
• Knowledge of Watson LIMS.
• Excellent written and verbal communication in English and French.
• Excellent organizational skills.
• Great interpersonal skills.
• Customer-focused.
• Work well within a team.
• Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, Word.
• Able to function with minimal supervision.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Ability to multi-task with attention to details.
• Knowledge in Sharepoint Office 365 and Power BI will be an asset.
