Knorr is the world’s largest food brand and the second largest brand within Unilever’s global portfolio. Knorr is a critical pillar in the Foods & Refreshment Category Strategy, and encompasses a breadth of segments including Bouillons, Sauces & Seasonings, Soups, and Mealmakers. In Canada, Knorr has been on a transformation journey, constantly refreshing the brand appeal and market deployment plans.
Unilever is looking for an Associate Brand Manager to lead key priorities in the Knorr strategy and support the Associate Marketing Director in the development and execution of engagement and communication projects as well as owning the brand multi-year innovation pipeline. This position offers a great opportunity to demonstrate independent leadership and own deliverables. Who You Are & What You’ll Do
The role of Associate Brand manager reports into Associate Marketing Director, Scratch Cooking. Primary responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following:
- Lead agencies and partners with a vision to bring Knorr’s purpose into a reality.
- Lead the brand’s scale communication platform, ensuring the strategy is executed across all channels (Social, digital, Email Marketing, Search, Ecomm, In-Store, etc.).
- Create relevant and compelling Communications that tap into consumer insight & that are culturally relevant
- Lead the creative briefs, development, and execution of in-store scale programs in collaboration with shopper marketing.
- Manage the brand’s influencer strategy across different social communities & lead the agency to deploy.
- Make sure that the refreshed Brand Visual Identity is being implemented across all touchpoints.
- Bring to market the brand’s multi-year innovation pipeline and lead the process from understanding insights & demand, creating financial business cases & working with cross-functional teams on deployment plans.
- Own category, competitive and customer tracking and analysis, bringing insights back to react against and inform brand strategy and tactics.
- Build and maintain strong relationships across the Knorr brand community, category business teams, US & global teams, cross functional teams, and agency partners; identify and mobilize needed resources to accomplish brand/project goals.
- Manage the marketing budget, enabling the brand to get the most out of its resources and meet financial targets.
What You’ll Need To Succeed
- 3+ years marketing experience, preferably CPG
- Have a strong pulse on social culture & communities.
- Understand younger audiences passion & demonstrate ability to activate against it.
- Strong analytical skills
- Proficiency of digital and social marketing.
- Clear demonstration of project management & leadership skills
- Experience/ability leading cross-functional teams, agencies and media partners
- Experience/understanding of marketing to multi-cultural consumers (especially Chinese, Indian, and Filipino)
- Proven record of drive and initiative with outstanding interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to operate in a dynamic environment
- Desire to work in the fun and exciting Foods category
