Job Summary
The Sales Planning Specialist creates and supports achievement of sales and profitability targets for all lines of business (lease, loan, protection plans and commercial lending) by delivering detailed sales analytics, forecasting & business intelligence to the Sales Planning, Controlling and Sales teams. Additional responsibilities include delivery of portfolio performance reporting, sales incentive program development, preparation & monitoring/reporting of custom dealer business reviews, training presentations and financial product proposals.

Job Summary
The Sales Planning Specialist creates and supports achievement of sales and profitability targets for all lines of business (lease, loan, protection plans and commercial lending) by delivering detailed sales analytics, forecasting & business intelligence to the Sales Planning, Controlling and Sales teams. Additional responsibilities include delivery of portfolio performance reporting, sales incentive program development, preparation & monitoring/reporting of custom dealer business reviews, training presentations and financial product proposals.
Role Responsibilities
- Lead contributor for the Design, development and delivery of all Sales Operations related business modelling, forecasting, analytics, and business intelligence for the annual 5-year business planning process, financial review activities and Board of Director reviews. Includes collaboration with the Brands for input data requirements, coordination and alignment stakeholders, preparation of competitive intelligence, identification of market trends, competitive bench marking and market share positioning.
- Lead contributor to the annual business planning processes including development of Sales budgets comprising departmental, regional and territory budgets and relevant scorecards. Provides sales management oversight with delivery of monthly and quarterly business reviews including reporting of Sales and Sales Team performance. Utilize self-developed analytics, reporting and business acumen to identify risks and opportunities to sales target achievement and communicate findings with tactical recommendations to the Sales Organization.
- Lead contributor to all Sales Operations modelling including the Sales Ops Penetration Model, Sales Ops Forecasting Model, Sales Ops Dealer Incentives Program Model and Sales Ops Trend Report Model and includes model enhancements and future development. Lead contributor to all sales forecast submissions including forecast methodology, supporting analytics, rationale and look-back to improve forecast accuracy.
- Lead contributor on all sales related Product/Business Proposals including all related data, portfolio analysis and other analytics as necessary to support each proposal.
- Function as the Sales Operations Data Lead/Steward responsible for the tactical coordination and implementation of Sales Operations data with all relevant models and reports and platforms. Leads team data usage and security policies through departmental data governance, acting as a liaison between NAR IT and Sales Operations for the extraction, integrity and use of all sales operations data. Uses a full range of both technical and business-oriented skills including programming and data modelling, as well as acumen in domains and data warehouses.
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field of study (Business Management, Finance, Data, Economics, Math)
- 3+ years of financial/business analysis experience
- 3+ years of automotive finance experience, preferred
- Dashboard Tools for business intelligence & reporting
- Preferred experience in Dashboard Tools for business intelligence & reporting
- Strong Quantitative and analytical skills; statistical, mathematical, writing, and data modelling & analysis skills.
