Millwright (Red Seal)

Summary

We are seeking a skilled Millwright to join our team at Core Molding Technologies. This role is essential for maintaining and enhancing our manufacturing processes, ensuring equipment reliability, and contributing to our commitment to quality and efficiency in production.

Essential Functions

• Execute work assignments including mold setup and removal safely and effectively by following all safe work procedures, setup layouts and SOPs
• Verify proper equipment setup by using standard checklists and addressing any issues with a focus on continual improvement
• Lead/participate in daily setup shift meetings to coordinate tasks and priorities.
• Ensure strict adherence to the production schedule to maintain operational efficiency.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns as necessary
• Establish and uphold Red Seal Certification standards and professionalism while developing and recommending improvement ideas/programs.
• Monitor inventory levels and notify appropriate personnel of stock shortages and tool/material requirements.
• Assemble, install, and dismantle machinery and equipment as needed.
• Comply with all environmental laws, regulations, and third-party requirements to enhance pollution prevention efforts.
• Adhere to all corporate policies and Occupational Health and Safety Administration (OHSA) regulations.
• Utilize IQMS software as required.
• Wear all necessary protective equipment and promptly report any missing or defective safety gear, hazardous conditions, or unsafe work practices to management.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Must work rotating 8-hour shifts

Ability to lift weights of up to 50 lbs.

Position Type/Expected Hours of Work

This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work MAD 8 hours shift on rotating basis. Monday to Friday.

Required Education, Skills, And Experience

• Red Seal Millwright certification -433A
• Self-motivated individual with a demonstrated commitment to safety
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to organize and prioritize workload
• Familiarity with computers and Microsoft Office software
• Experience working with Hydraulics and Pneumatics
• Plastic injection molding experience an asset
• Understanding of SMED principles an asset
• Utilizes ERP as required
• Supports QMS implementation and ongoing Continuous Improvement
• Completed Fall Arrest Training
• Completed Crane Training
