We are looking for an Associate Project Manager to join our growing team. This role primarily supports Cryptographic Module Validation Program (CMVP) projects, with opportunities for professional growth. Candidates who demonstrate initiative and a willingness to learn may also expand into US and Canadian Common Criteria projects. What You Bring

Education & Experience

  • College diploma or Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field
  • 2-5 years of experience in administrative or project coordination roles within a service-based organization

Skills & Competencies

  • Strong familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills, problem-solving abilities, and resourcefulness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver projects on time and within budget
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Comfortable working in an environment that requires flexibility, adaptability, and initiative

Bonus Skillsets (Preferred But Not Required)

  • Experience with ClickUp (or similar project management software)
  • Certified Associate in Project Management (CAPM) or Project Management Professional (PMP)
  • Knowledge of FIPS 140-2, FIPS 140-3, Common Criteria, or related cybersecurity standards

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Coordination: Support project managers through each project lifecycle, ensuring tasks are assigned, tracked, and completed efficiently
  • Project Management Tools: Set up and maintain project details in the project management platform (ClickUp), including but not limited to track progress, assign tasks, and update stakeholders. Ensure all project related documents are updated on time
  • Client & Vendor Liaison: Schedule meetings, coordinate testing and shipping logistics, and handle administrative project tasks
  • Meeting Support: Attend client status calls, take detailed meeting minutes, and professionally follow up on action items
  • Stakeholder Communication: Provide regular updates on project progress, and potential adjustments with all necessary stakeholders
  • Resource Management: Assist project managers in tracking, scheduling and allocating project resources efficiently
  • Risk & Issue Management: Document risks and updates in project plans, ensuring alignment with certification timelines
  • Compliance Support: Support documentation efforts for compliance with FIPS 140-3, Common Criteria, and other security standards

Interview Selection Process

  • Interview with Recruiter – Initial screening to learn about your background and experience.
  • Interview with Project Manager – In-depth discussion on project management experience and role expectations.
  • Skillset Assessment – Practical evaluation of project management capabilities and demonstrated in Lightship selected project management tool.
  • Final Interview with Team and Management – Meet with key stakeholders to assess team fit and alignment with company values.
