The Opportunity:

Are you passionate about supply chain management and ensuring seamless production operations? We’re looking for an Operational Procurement Category Specialist (1 year contract) to manage the procurement of raw materials, bulk products, and subcontract manufacturing while ensuring an uninterrupted supply for production. In this role, you’ll collaborate across departments to drive efficiency, enhance supplier relationships, and support our commitment to sustainability—balancing people, planet, and profit in every decision. You’re good at:

  • Analyzing Material Requirements Planning (MRP) and managing purchase orders efficiently
  • Collaborating with vendors and internal teams to optimize supply chain performance
  • Expediting critical orders and identifying alternate sourcing strategies
  • Mitigating supply chain risks and improving supplier performance
  • Managing contracts, monitoring agreements, and leading quarterly supplier reviews
  • Driving process improvements and optimizing inventory levels
  • Maintaining strong relationships with suppliers and internal stakeholders

What you have:

  • A Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Engineering, Business/Operations Management, or a related field
  • 3+ years of purchasing experience in a manufacturing environment
  • Experience with SYSPRO or other ERP systems, along with strong MRP system knowledge
  • Expertise in Bill of Materials (BOM) and Work in Progress (WIP) reconciliation
  • Knowledge of lean principles and material management processes
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel
  • Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills

Bonus Points If You Have:

  • APICS CPIM or CSCP certification
  • Experience with international suppliers and contract negotiations
