About the Opportunity
Reporting to the Manager, the Procurement Coordinator collaborates with Supply Chain Operations to procure and source supplies, equipment, and services for NSH programs. This role involves advanced procurement methods, market analysis, and strategic negotiation tactics. Responsibilities include issuing Purchase Orders and supporting Alternate Procurement in creating requests for services to be performed by Service Nova Scotia.
About You
We would love to hear from you if you have the following:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in supply chain activities within an acute healthcare setting
- Certificate in Public Sector Procurement Program (“PSPP”) and/or Supply Chain Management Professional designation preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office required
- Experience with SAP; Tecsys, GHX, e-commerce an asset
- Strong verbal, written, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Excellent people skills for team environments
- Project management and negotiation skills
- Ability to work in a stressful setting with competing priorities
- Competency in other languages an asset, French preferred
Hours
- Permanent, Full-time / 75 Hours Bi-weekly
Compensation and Benefits
$37.79 - $44.28 Hourly
Successful candidates may be eligible for our benefits package, including health, dental, travel, long-term disability, life insurance, and a defined benefit pension plan.
