Summary / Role Purpose

Join the Ansys Customer Excellence team to partner with our customers to engineer what's ahead, solve real-world engineering problems, deploy Ansys software in their design workflows, and grow Ansys’ business. As a hands-on expert in Ansys products, you will use advanced-level engineering knowledge to provide technical pre-sales support, perform professional services, and help translate customer requirements into exciting new product features. Apart from the core engineering knowledge, you will develop solutions for coupling real-world Multiphysics engineering applications with AI/ML using PyAnsys. You will develop automation, WebApp, and other Pythonic workflows with engineering physics in the background.

Key Duties And Responsibilities

  • Lead/Assist in coordinating and executing all technical activities throughout the sales opportunity lifecycle such as technical discovery, product presentations, demonstrations, and evaluations
  • Develop and document scripted workflows using the Ansys pyAnsys framework.
  • Collaborate with the Ansys product development teams to translate customer requirements into exciting new product features; test new releases of Ansys products on industrial problems
  • Contribute to consulting services, conduct introductory and/or intermediate training classes
  • Support testing efforts to determine new feature readiness for commercial release
  • Participate in interactions with Ansys Customer Excellence teams for technical discussions and gathering technical requirements.

Minimum Education/Certification Requirements And Experience

  • Required Education and degree type: MS in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Required minimum years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: MS+0
  • A solid foundation of finite element methods, and their usage in structural mechanics
  • Basic knowledge of relevant Ansys software or knowledge of other commercial CAE, CAD, EDA, and PLM software packages
  • Proficient in Pythonic workflows - especially toolkits like NumPy, SciPy, etc.
  • Experience with AI/Machine Learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
  • Experience with scripted process integration workflows on cross-platform
  • Logical problem-solving, strong interpersonal and communication skills, fluent in writing and speaking English, excellent presentation skills
  • Ability to travel domestically up to 25% of the time

Preferred Qualifications And Skills

  • Preferred education and years of professional experience in an engineering software environment: PhD+0
  • Expertise in Ansys structures software like Mechanical and LS-Dyna
  • Experience with pyAnsys and other Ansys scripting languages
  • Expertise in Windows/Linux OS and knowledge of High-Performance computing hardware
  • Expertise with AI/Machine Learning frameworks like PyTorch and TensorFlow
