About The Role
We are seeking a Superintendent to lead the construction of a 44-storey residential tower in the Burquitlam area. The project features modern residential units, high-end amenities, and dynamic commercial spaces. As part of the larger field operations team, the Superintendent will lead and direct a field and site team to manage the overall operations, site, quality and schedule of a construction project. The successful candidate will maintain effective working relationships with our project management, safety and trades partners while ensuring a seamless construction process consistent with Axiom Builders' commitment to quality, objectives and values.

The ideal Superintendent candidate is a construction and people leader in the field with an extensive expertise in concrete high-rise residential or mixed-use projects. You are well-versed, knowledgeable and influential when communicating daily with our formwork team as well as other trade partners on the site. You have strong connections in the industry and you recognize these relationships will be key to your long-term success at Axiom Builders. You remain calm under pressure and have the ability to motivate the crew to rise to the occasion. People would describe you as a role model - you have the ability to inspire a team of different personalities to work together and you are approachable and willing to listen to challenges they face daily. You value integrity and honesty from your leaders and your team - you not only dedicate yourself to the project, to the team and to the company, but also, just as importantly, to the client.

About The Role
We are seeking a Superintendent to lead the construction of a 44-storey residential tower in the Burquitlam area. As part of the larger field operations team, the Superintendent will lead and direct a field and site team to manage the overall operations, site, quality and schedule of a construction project. The successful candidate will maintain effective working relationships with our project management, safety and trades partners while ensuring a seamless construction process consistent with Axiom Builders' commitment to quality, objectives and values.
Key Responsibilities
- Work collaboratively with Project Manager and regularly communicate updates such as field reports, safety inspections, staffing requirements and schedule updates;
- Oversee subcontractor performance with regards to safety and scope of work;
- Ensure sufficient staffing is provided to achieve safety, schedule and quality objectives;
- Identify and advise of design deficiencies, schedule interruptions or difficulties, and other project issues;
- Administer contracts, subcontracts, purchase orders, site instructions and change notices to ensure scopes, terms and conditions are properly executed;
- Supervise and direct trades and labourers through regular instruction, communication feedback;
- Support CSO and head office in ensuring all employees, subcontractors and contractors are adhering to the safety policies;
- Work in partnership with Head Office and communicate effectively with all departments and provides reports as requested.

Skills And Experience
- At least six (6)+ years of experience as a superintendent for a general contractor on high-rise concrete projects;
- Excellent record of leading a project from pre-construction to completion;
- Experience with infrastructure, roadworks or bridges will be considered an asset;
- Ability to build relationships with not only the field staff, but also clients and other external stakeholders;
- Ability and proven experience to lead and motivate site crew of various sizes and scopes;
- Proven success in influencing a culture of positivity, ownership and reliability on site.
