Job Description
Canroof Corporation Inc. (CRC), a Company of IKO Industries Ltd., is hiring 3 Production Operators to work in Brampton, Ontario, due to business growth. Employees will operate production equipment in a fast-paced manufacturing plant while following health, safety & environmental requirements and producing products as per quality specifications. Employees will operate high-speed machines, handle workplace chemical, perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and practice good housekeeping. Employees will operate motorized equipment.

Employees will operate high-speed machines, handle workplace chemical, perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular basis, and practice good housekeeping. Employees will operate motorized equipment.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment in accordance with established operating procedures
- Document production numbers, items contributing to down-time
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a regular, daily basis
- Adhere to safety policies, programs, procedures
- Ensure product being produced meets established quality specifications
- Document quality checks at regular intervals
- Operate counterbalance, propane-powered forklift
- General housekeeping duties
- Additional duties as assigned by Supervisory staff
- Experience in heavy-industrial manufacturing, construction, or similar industry preferred
- Must have 2-3 years solid experience operating production equipment in a team-based environment
- Comfortable with working in a high decibel environment
- Computer knowledge and experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and internet
- Manual dexterity
- Attention to detail
- Fluent in verbal and written English; Math proficiency
- Forklift experience an asset; training will be provided
- Ability to safely perform heavy lifting up to 50 pounds on a routine basis
- Comfortable with standing for extended periods of time
- Work in dusty environment for extended hours
- Must be able to work at heights and in confined spaces
- Selected candidates must be fit-tested for N95 mask; Must be clean-shaven and wear N95 throughout the shift when needed
- Hard hat must be worn
- Shortlisted candidates will take an IKO aptitude test
- Successful candidates will undergo police criminal check, reference check and pre-placement medical
