As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will manage day-to-day accounting processes, assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and provide support for compliance and audit activities. As an Accounting Manager, you will play a critical role in ensuring our financial operations run smoothly and efficiently. You will manage day-to-day accounting processes, assist with monthly and quarterly financial reporting, and provide support for compliance and audit activities. You’ll have the chance to work cross-functionally, contributing to a mission-driven company that’s transforming healthcare operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage, operate and optimize finance / accounting function, processes (including procure-to-pay, record-to-report, customer facing invoicing/collection and payroll), policies and systems.
- Develop & maintain strong internal controls and accounting policies to safeguard company assets, and manage systems to ensure compliance.
- Lead an efficient accounting close and prepare accurate/timely financial statements.
- Develop & manage models for revenue recognition (ASC 606), prepaid expenses and accruals; record journal entries and prepare reconciliations to ensure accurate accounting, close and validation of related financial reporting.
- Manage timely and accurate payroll reporting (processed through Paylocity).
- Work with an external accounting firm to bring processes in-house and build internal finance / accounting function.
- Oversee stock option program and equity administration platform (Carta).
- Manage AP / AR, ensuring timely and accurate payments, and related activities / compliance efforts.
- Coordinate with external auditors and ensure timely completion of audit procedures.
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 3-5 years in financial management, accounting, and/or auditing roles.
- Strong technical accounting skills and proficiency in GAAP and SEC reporting requirements paired with exceptional analytical abilities.
- Experience with GL, expense reporting, procurement, and stock administration software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
- Process and detail-oriented with excellent organizational and time-management skills.
- High degree of integrity, ethics, and professionalism, with a commitment to upholding the highest standards of financial integrity and compliance.
- Experience with financial/accounting management at SaaS healthcare companies.
- Familiarity with core financial/accounting systems: Sage Intacct, Bill.com, Carta and Ramp.
- Experience in financial transformation and using AI tools to drive efficiencies.
